Pune: Ex-Chairman of Pune Branch of WIRC of ICAI, CA Anand Jakhotia has been elected as a treasurer of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). This regional council includes Maharashtra, Gujrat and Goa. He has accepted the charge of the treasure from Yashwant Kasar, Ex-Treasurer, WIRC of ICAI. CA Lalit Bajaj has been elected as a Chairman, CA Vishal Doshi as Vice-president and CA Murtaza Kachwala has been elected as a Secretary.
This causerie will serve the term of 2020-21. This regional council has 1,16,000 CA members and 2,50,000 CA students. Previously CA Anand Jakhotiya was elected as a member of WIRC before completing his tenure as a Chairman of Pune Branch. With active participation in management CA, Anand Jakhotiya has successfully served various responsibilities. He belongs to Manglurpir from Washim. Under his chairmanship (2018-19) Pune Branch of ICAI has won 4 awards namely national and regional best CA branch and best students’ branch awards.
After being elected as a treasurer of WIRC he said overwhelmingly, “We will conduct various activities for the benefit of CAs, students, and society. This will include enlightening sessions with the experts, effective use of technology, CSR activities, counseling programs, coordination among experts from industry, government and education sector. We will try to raise all the advanced infrastructure that is required and make optimum use of it.
