Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain celebrates as the show completes 1500 episodes.
Nehha Pendse, who plays the role of Anita bhabhi, is missing from the celebration.
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain has been successfully running since 2015. The show has been entertaining viewers for over five years with its witty one-liners and camaraderie. Shubhangi joined the show in 2016 after Shilpa Shinde quit the show.
Shubhangi is paired opposite Rohitashv Gour, who plays the role of Manmohan Tiwari.
It also stars Aasif Sheikh as Vibhuti Narayan Mishra and is paired opposite Nehha Pendse. They are the second lead pair of the show. Nehha’s role was earlier played by Saumya Tandon, who quit last year owing to personal reasons.
After a brief hiatus, Nehha entered the show as the new Anita Bhabhi.
Since its inception, the show has garnered positive reviews and has its own fan following. Each of these characters is much loved.
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! (transl. Is bhabiji at home?) is an Indian Hindi sitcom that premiered on 2 March 2015 on &TV. The series is produced by Binaifer Kohli under the banner of Edit II Productions. Bhabiji literally means “brother’s wife”. The -Ji suffix is a term of respect used by the brothers-in-law or outsiders for any married woman.
This comedy show revolves around two neighboring couples, the Mishras and the Tiwari’s, in which the husbands are attracted to each other’s wives and attempt various ultimately unsuccessful and hilarious techniques to impress them.
Since its inception, the show has garnered positive reviews and acclaim from critics and viewers alike. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! is inspired by the 1994 Hindi sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati.
Casting
Before the show went into production, Rashmi Desai was chosen to play the character of ‘Angoori’. But Desai rejected the role because of age differences between her and co-actor Rohitash Gaud and the role went to Shilpa Shinde. Actor Aasif Sheikh revealed that before production started, he suggested the makers cast Shilpa Shinde when he heard about the character of ‘Angoori’ for the first time.
After one year in April 2016, approximately 80 actresses auditioned for the role of Angoori and Shubhangi Atre was selected after the unexpected exit of Shinde from the series.
