Asian Games 2018 : India clinch gold medal in the Men’s Quadruple Sculls team

On Friday morning (August 24), India clinched their very first gold in rowing in the 18th edition of the quadrennial event when rowers Sawarn Singh, Dattu Bhokanal, Om Prakash and Sukhmeet Singh combined to finish stop in the men’s Quadruple Sculls team.

India now have five golds at Asiad 2018 with their rank in medals tally going upto ninth.

Earlier in the day, India had two more medals in rowing – a bronze for Dushyant Chauhan n Men’s lightweight single sculls and a bronze as well for the pair of Rohit Kumar and Bhagwan Singh clinched the Bronze medal in Lightweight Double Sculls in rowing.
