Nagpur: Six senior officers, having Nagpur connections, were among the 33 Cops personnel from Nagpur City and Rural Police, Police Training School (PTS), Unconventional Operations Training Centre (UOTC) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) who have been awarded the Director General of Police’s (DGP) Insignia on the occasion of Maharashtra Day.
Those bestowed with DGP’s Insignia for distinguished and exemplary services include ACP Sudhir Nandanwar, Senior Police Inspectors Atul Sabnis (Sitabuldi), Jayesh Bhandarkar (Special Branch), Gajanan Kalyankar (Ambazari), Inspectors Pramod Ghonge (Umrer) and Namdeo Ganjurde, API Ratan Umbarkar, PSI Akshayvarnath Shukla, ASIs Shyam Amdapurkar, Baba Keche, Sheikh Mannan Nawrangabade, Bhawaniprasad Mishra (all from Nagpur Rural), Sanjay Ramprasad Tiwari (PTS), Srinivas Ramkishor Mishra, Krishna Kumar Tiwari, Raghunath Dhurve, Dattatraya Ninawe (Nagpur City) and Sahebrao Bahale, HCs Rajendra Sanodiya, Vivek Dodge, Ramnath Pande (Nagpur Rural), Amolik Ukhankar (PTS), Atul Satpute (UOTC), Sunil Mangde, Arunkumar Bharti (PTS), NPCs Daulat Chahande, Seema Yewatkar, Varsha Lokhande, Jaya Lokhande (PCR) and Manish Tonge, SDRF personnel Santosh Kildare, Vinod Khade, Dhanraj Belkar, Vishal Rahangdale and Sheetal Netware.
SDPO Sudhir Nandanwar, posted at Chandrapur, who resided and began his career as a probationary sub-inspector in the city several years ago, was among the others to have received the honour. Senior Inspector Jayesh Bhandarkar, posted in the traffic department in the city, was also one of the recipients along with Senior Inspector of Sitabuldi Police Station Atul Sabnis who had earlier worked with Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) in Mumbai and was behind several key operations.
