Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi song ‘Ae Watan’ out today
Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Raazi’ film has already managed to arrest the attention of the audience with its intriguing trailer and posters. The makers, on Wednesday (tody), launched the first song from the film, titled, ‘Ae Watan’. This song gives an overview of the protagonist’s journey from being a dutiful daughter to a wife and a spy.
The song, composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and sung by Arijit Singh is sure to evoke patriotism in you.

The song perfectly showcases Alia Bhatt’s journey from an ordinary girl to an extraordinary spy. It shows how Sehmat sacrifices her safety for her country and overcomes all hurdles that come her way to protect her nation. This is the first time Arijit Singh has sung a patriotic number. He has felt each and every word like he means it and we don’t think anyone else apart from him could have sung this so as beautifully as Arijit.
Alia, who was recently present on a reality show, Rising Star 2 , even crooned to a few lines from the song with renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan.
The plot of the film follows the story of a young Kashmiri woman named Sehmat (Alia), who is sent to the Pakistan on a mission to spy on the country for her motherland India.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film is produced by Vineet Jain, Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar and Apoorva Mehta and co-produced by Priti Shahani. ‘Raazi’ is slated to release on May 11, 2018.
