The Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 8 Sirocco have been announced in India by HMD Global at an event in New Delhi. The three new phones come after the entry-level Nokia 1 Android Oreo Go Edition was launched in the country a few days ago, making up the first set of phones for 2018 and expanding the company’s portfolio.
Nokia 6 (2018) specs : Specifications & Features
The Nokia 6 (2018) is essentially a refreshed version of the Nokia 6 from last year and is an Android One smartphone much like the others. There are a few visual changes to the new Nokia 6 such as the fingerprint sensor moving to the rear and copper accents all around like the Nokia 7 Plus. The phone brings a 5.5-inch FullHD IPS LCD display with a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. A notable upgrade under-the-hood is the chipset with the new one getting a Snapdragon 630 processor compared to the SD430 chip that was powering the original Nokia 6. This is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
Nokia 6 comes with a 16MP rear camera with ZEISS optics and an 8MP front-facing camera with support for Bothie and Nokia 360 spatial audio. The phone comes with Pro camera mode and Face Unlock, much like the 7 Plus and the 8 Sirocco. The handset houses a 3,000mAh battery, measures 148.8×75.8×8.6mm.
Nokia 7 Plus specs : Specifications & Features
The Nokia 7 Plus is an updated version of the Nokia 7 and this is highlighted with an 18:9 display. The 6-inch FHD+ panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and the handset is crafted from a single block of Series 6000 aluminium with copper accents around the camera and the frame. The Nokia 7 Plus is powered Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. It houses a 3,800mAh battery which Nokia claims is good for 2 days of mixed use.
The Nokia 7 Plus also supports face unlock and AI imaging features like the ability to modify lighting conditions and add masks. The sports ZIESS-branded dual rear cameras with a 12MP primary sensor and a 13MP secondary sensor for 2X optical zoom. The front camera is Zeiss-branded as well and the company says you’ll be able to capture good selfies in low-light as well. It also supports OZO Audio which allows for 360 degree audio recording and Bothie.
Nokia 8 Sirocco specs : Specifications & Features
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is the first flagship smartphone from the company this year and build on the design of last year’s Nokia 8. But the company wanted to take things a little further. The handset is made up of Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back with a stainless steel chassis in between. It sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD pOLED display with slim bezels on the top and bottom and a 3D curved glass on top that gives it an appealing edge-to-edge look. It is powered by last year’s flagship Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of non-expandable storage. Additionally, the handset houses a 3,260mAh battery, which is slightly bigger than the Nokia 8, supports Qi Wireless charging and is IP67 rated.
Cameras on the Nokia 8 Sirocco have been updated slightly compared to the Nokia 8. The dual rear camera setup this time around comprises of a 12-megapixel wide-angle primary lens with f/1.7 aperture and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture and dual-tone flash. You also get a Pro mode that allows you to manually adjust white balance, focus, ISO, shutter speed and exposure. Up front, you get a 5-megapixel selfie camera with display flash.

The Nokia 7 Plus comes in a single storage option of 4GB + 64GB which has been priced at Rs 25,999 in Black Copper and White Copper colours, while the new Nokia 6 comes with a lower mid-range pricing of Rs 16,999 and will come in a choice of three colour options – Black/Copper, White/Iron and Blue/Gold. The Nokia 8 Sirocco, on the other hand, comes with a premium price tag of Rs 49,999 and will be offered in Black. The Nokia 6 will be available with cash back offers offline and on the Nokia Mobile Shop and select mobile outlets, while the Nokia 7 Plus will be available for pre-booking from April 20 and will go on sale from April 30 on Amazon India and Nokia Mobile Shop. The 8 Sirocco will be available from April 30 on Flipkart and Nokia Mobile Shop.
