The grain festival will be organized from January 4 to 8, 2023 at Agricultural College Hostel, Ramdaspeth, Nagpur. Timings for the grain festival will from 10.00 am to 9.30 pm every day for 4 days.
During this festival, rice grain will be the main attraction produced by the farmers of the district. High-quality rice such as Jaishreeram, Chinnor, Black rice, PKV-Tilak, and many more different varieties will be available for sale to the customers.
Rice of the district is very famous all over the country for its high quality and the farmers work very hard to produce the paddy unfortunately; the farmers do not get complete payback from their crops as the traders themselves earn huge profits from the sale of the rice. After selling the rice produced by the farmers directly to the consumers, the consumers will get high-quality rice at a reasonable price than the market price and the farmers would get their fair share.
Other than rice, the farmers will be bringing along oranges from the Nagpur district to sell. Bhiwapur Chilli Powder, organic turmeric, and other organic produce will be available for sale.
Foods prepared by various women groups like pickles, papads, spices, turmeric, crude oil, various types of cabbage, silk clothes, and sarees will also be available.
