Nagpur : All India Consumer Welfare Council organised a special programme to celebrate ‘International Consumer Day’ under the chairmanship of Ashwin Mehadia, President of the Council, Nagpur District. Subhash Agrawal, President of Council and Devendra Tiwari, General Secretary. The members of the Council were given detailed information about the Consumer Protection Act 1986. Pratap Motwani, Secretary of Council, Nagpur District made introductory remarks. Advocate Gauravsingh Shengar proposed the vote of thanks.
Speaking on the occasion, Mehadia said, “The rights of consumers should be always protected.” The right to seek redressal against unfair trade practices or restrictive trade practices or unscrupulous exploitation of consumers and the right to consumer education. He also shed light on the future programmes to be conducted by All India Consumer Welfare Council, Nagpur District.
Present were Kailash Kevalramani, Ramesh Lalwani, Bablu Tiwari (Kamptee), Sunildatta Pandey, Subhash Mahajan (Kalmeshwar), Sudhakar Wadhibhasme, Diwakar Dhande, Sandhya Mahurkar and others.
