Nagpur : MahaMetro on Thursday dedicated First Common Mobility Card – MAHA CARD to City Mayor and Nagpur’s first citizen Smt. Nanda Jichkar by Managing Director, MAHA METRO Dr. Brijesh Dixit
Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha-Metro) joined hands with Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and State Bank of India (SBI) to bring them onboard for the common mobility program.
The card was launched by Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis, Union Minister for Transport and Shipping Nitin Gadkari and State Bank of India Chairperson; Arundhati Bhattacharya at a glittering ceremony on September 30, 2017.
Some main features of the MAHA-CARD :
- Single card for Metro, Buses, Feeders, Parking, Utility, and other retail payments.
- Highly secured Chip-based dual interface (contact and contactless) smart card.
- Dip and swipe interface for retail operations.
- Compatible for web and mobile-based transactions
- The personalized card on proven EMV (Europay, Master, Visa, Rupay) platform.
