Vidarbha speedster Umesh Yadav claimed another five wicket haul as defending champion Vidarbha drubbed Kerala by an innings and 11 runs in Ranji Trophy semi final at Waynad in Kerala on Friday. In response to Kerala’s first innings total of 106, Vidarbha made 208 and thus took 102 runs lead.
In their second innings, Kerala batsmen again failed to face Yadav’s pace and were bowled out for 91 in 24.5 overs. Yadav who captured five wickets for 31runs was ably supported by Yash Thakur who snared three wickets. Thus Yadav claimed 12 wickets in the match to fashion Vidarbha victory within one and half day.
