Penal action will be taken against Radisson Blu Hotel in Nagpur

Nagpur : Radisson Blu, the five star hotel on Wardha Road in the city is bound to face penal action from the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) for serving sub-standard food to the guests.

A team of FDA officials on December 15, had collected three food samples following complaints of worms in food items by some guests. According to reports, a pharma company had organised two-day conference of its employees at Radisson Blu. On the first day, the employees complained of worms in their breakfast. The hotel administration reportedly seeking apology assured to look into the matter.

However, the episode was repeated on the second day too. The guests then lodged a complaint with the FDA in the afternoon and accordingly the FDA team reached the hotel in the evening and collected food samples.

The reports of the samples showed the paneer served at the hotel was sub-standard.

Now, the FDA will file a legal suit against Radisson Blue in the court of joint commissioner (Foods) Shashikant Kekre. According to law, the penalty can be slapped only after hearing and officials said the hotel will certainly face penal action.
