NMC imparts self-defence training to girls

Nagpur : Nirbhaya Beti Suraksha Abhiyan Samiti and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) imparted marshal arts training to hundreds of girls at Reshimbagh ground recently. These girls learned the art of self-defence by trained masters. The programme was organised in memory of social worker Umesh Choube.

Zilla Parishad President Nisha Sawarkar, NMC Women and Child Welfare Committee Chief Pragati Patil, ESI Corporation member S P Tiwari, Dr Meena Deshmukh, Prachi Balgote, Vijaya Marotkar and others were present.

Shabbir Ahmed Vidrohi, Chairman of Choube Vichar Manch presided over the function. All the dignitaries appreciated the programme of giving self-defence training to girls. Introductory remarks given by Gyaneshwar Gurav, President of committee.

Dr Veena Raut compered the programme while Sanjay Katakmwar, Working President, proposed a vote of thanks. Sensai Narayan Waghadee, Kiran Yadav, Vilas Nakade, Harish Choube, Rajesh Larokar, Shyam Bhovate, and Jaishri Thool given them training. Tanuj Choube, Rajesh Zargar, Pravin Gabhne, Varsha Abojwar, Shobhana Sharma, Amar Mukhi, Kamaldeep Singh Kochar, Ajay Yadav, Kishor Palandurkar, Amit Nahar, and other also were present.
