In a big blow to the Indian team, dashing opener Prithvi Shaw has been ruled out of the first Test match against Australia, as per the update by the BCCI on his injury.
India is scheduled to play their first game at Adelaide, starting December 6, and Shaw’s absence will be a massive dent to the Indian team plans ahead of the big game!
The statement released by the BCCI read, “Shaw underwent scans this morning and the reports revealed a lateral ligament injury.”
The BCCI informed the same on their official Twitter account. BCCI wrote, “Prithvi Shaw ruled out of First Test against Australia in Adelaide.”
