Nagpur : Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a brief halt at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, on Sunday afternoon en route Chhindwara and later while flying to Indore during his whirlwind tour of poll bound Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
This is probably for the first time, the Prime Minister visited the city, though technically, two times in one single day.
The Prime Minister arrived by a special aircraft of Indian Air Force (IAF) from Raipur at around 2.15 pm and was received by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road, Transport, Highways, Shipping, Ganga Rejuvenation. Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Mayor Nanda Jichkar, City BJP Chief and MLA Sudhakar Kohale, Officiating Divisional Commissioner Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Commissioner of Police Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay, Special IGP K M Prasanna, District Collector Ashwin Mudgal also greeted Prime Minister.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister addressed massive public rallies at poll-bound Chhattisgarh and during his brief halt at Nagpur airport interacted with Gadkari and Bawankule for some time.
