A 35-year-old senior manager at the Faridabad office of Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Ltd (TSPDL), located inside the Tata Steel stockyard in the city, was shot dead on Friday afternoon, with police saying a former employee — fired from his post as “executive” about “four-five months ago” — is behind the crime. The accused fled the scene after the incident, and police have started raids to nab him.
According to police, the victim, Arindam Pal, hails from Kolkata and was senior manager (supply chain) at the stockyard located in Faridabad’s New Industrial Township (NIT) area. He lived in Sainik Colony with his wife and daughter.
The accused, Vishwash Pandey, hails from Allahabad, and had been sacked on the basis of a report submitted by the victim, police said.
