Nagpur: A business delegation including the members of French aerospace industries’ association Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) visited Multimodal International Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) project area on Friday. It ‘studied’ opportunities for investment in Nagpur particularly in aerospace and aviation sectors.
Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd (MADC) hosted the delegation and apprised them of facilities in MIHAN and opportunities. The delegation included CEOs and officials of 32 aerospace companies of France like Adamas Avocats Associes, Aerocampus, Archetype Group, Bollore, Business France, Dassault Systems, Enia, Invest Quebec, Thales India, and Turgis & Gilliard to name a few.
Suresh Kakani, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of MADC, welcomed Jean-Marc Mignon, Economic Consul of France; Nicolas Simon, Vice-President, IFCCI; Bruno Bronquard, Regional Director, IFCCI, and all the delegates.
Kakani explained the concept, status, facilities and opportunities coming up for aerospace industries in MIHAN. He appealed to all the delegates to invest in MIHAN and assured all co-operation from MADC for setting up their units in MIHAN-SEZ. Samir Gokhale, Marketing Manager of MADC, spoke on policies of SEZ, procedures and benefits of investing in MIHAN-SEZ.
The delegation also visited sites of prominent companies in MIHAN like Lupin, Infosys, SP Infocity, TCS, Patanjali, TAL, DRAL, link taxiway and the sites of upcoming aerospace industries like Indamer Aviation, Turgis & Gilliard, Thales coming up soon in MIHAN.
