Nagpur : In a spine-chilling incident, a drunkard man who suspected character of his wife killed his two sons aged 4 and 6 by throwing them in a well in Isasani village under MIDC police jurisdiction on Thursday. The accused has been arrested.
According to sources, the accused has been identified as Santosh Meshram (35). It is learnt that the accused Santosh had gone to Wardha for some work. From there he phoned to his wife and wanted to talk to his sons. But his wife reportedly refused to do so.
Furious over the matter, Santosh returned to Nagpur and went to his house in Isasani. He took his two children to a well situated 3-4 km away from his house and threw them into the well. The two kids died by drowning.
As the news of the incident spread like jungle fire, a team of MIDC police and Crime Branch rushed to Isasani and arrested the accused Santosh Meshram. Fire Brigade personnel with the help of police pulled out bodies of two kids and sent to government hospital for post-mortem.
