Aamir Khan is Firangi in Thugs of Hindostan, see first look

Date:

A new poster from the ambitious new YRF film, Thugs of Hindostan, starring Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, is now out. Featuring Aamir Khan as Firangi, the new motion poster looks interesting and colourful all the way.

Taking to twitter, Aamir Khan introduced Thug Firangi with a caption that read, “और इ हैँ हम, फिरंगी मल्लाह. हम से ज्यादा नेक इन्सान इस धरती पे कहीं नहीं मिलेगा आपको. सच्चाई तो हमरा दूसरा नाम है, और भरोसा हमरा काम.दादी कसम!!!”.

So far, we’ve met Amitabh Bachchan’s Khudabaksh – the ‘biggest thug of all,’ as Aamir put it – and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s archer Zafira, villain John Clive, and Katrina Kaif as Suraiyya and now Firangi Aamir Khan.

Thugs of Hindostan has been made on a massive budget. “Since sea and ships play an integral part in the plot, Aamir as well as (producer) Aditya Chopra were sure that they would go all out to present the biggest spectacle that Hindi cinema has ever witnessed. The film’s budgets are yet to be ascertained, but the cost for the two ships easily runs into several crores”, a source was quoted as saying to Hindustan Times.

Thugs of Hindostan is based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel, Confessions of a Thug. The film releases November 8 to coincide with the Diwali weekend.
